Material Overview
Okoumé plywood is composed of thin layers of Okoumé veneer, bonded with waterproof adhesives, making it ideal for damp conditions or outdoor use without additional treatment. The material is sturdy, relatively dark in color, and features a beautiful, natural wood appearance with subtle veneer transitions. The sheets always have one attractive side and one less attractive side.
The wood type falls under the classification of hardwood. The cut is therefore sooty and black. This requires post-processing if the application demands a clean product.
