Material Overview

Our silicone rubber sheets are available in transparent (translucent) and red; the red variants are FDA-approved as food safe. This silicone rubber is flexible, elastic, and resistant to temperatures up to approximately 220 °C. Importantly, the material is laserproof, allowing for clean cuts and high-precision engravings.

Silicone rubber is fire-resistant, which makes laser cutting not easy. The residue from the cut settles around the cut in the form of a slightly greasy black ash. This ash can be easily washed off afterward. If you have many parts, you can put them in a laundry bag and run them through a cycle in the washing machine.

Applications

For hobbyists:
Suitable for layered sculptures, wall ornaments, and model building. Engravings are subtle and can be beautifully worked out with stencils or for relief work.

For professionals:
Widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, and medical industries for seals, closures, baking molds, mats, and gaskets. Also great for technical mats, insulation, damping, and stencils. The elastic properties and food safety make it extra valuable.
